Transforming GOSI’s IAM Experience: Enabling Remote Access & Operational Efficiency

Introduction

The General Organization for Social Insurance (GOSI) plays a crucial role in Saudi Arabia’s social protection landscape—overseeing insurance coverage for civil, military, and private sector employees. With growing demands for flexibility, GOSI’s existing Identity and Access Management (IAM) system—anchored in office-only access—was holding back performance and accessibility.

Latent stepped in to design and build a solution that would grant secure remote access, improve scalability, and streamline processes.

The Challenge

  • GOSI’s IAM setup was office-centric, limiting access from outside premises.

  • Remote work and flexible operations were difficult or impossible under existing systems.

  • Operational inefficiencies arose from manual or location-bound request processing.

  • Scalability concerns as the demand for broader access and modern IAM features increased.

Latent’s Solution

To address these challenges, the Latent team collaborated with GOSI and:

  • Developed a mobile app (iOS & Android) integrated with Oracle IAM APIs to enable secure remote access.

  • Ensured authentication, identity management, and access control were robust, compliant, and centralized.

  • Built a system that scales, so new IAM requirements could be accommodated as GOSI’s use-case scope expanded.

The Results

The implementation delivered measurable improvements:

  • Faster Request Processing: Users can submit requests remotely via the mobile platform.

  • Operational Efficiency: Reduced bottlenecks and location constraints in workflows.

  • Higher Productivity: Staff no longer tied to office locations; time savings and smoother operations.

  • Scalability & Compliance: The system can support evolving IAM needs while maintaining regulatory standards.

Conclusion

GOSI’s transformed IAM experience demonstrates how modernization—in both architecture and access—can unlock better productivity, flexibility, and compliance. By integrating mobile access and API-driven identity management, GOSI is now better equipped to serve employees across Saudi Arabia, both in and outside of traditional office settings.
